Rumors are circulating that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kings of Leon[/lastfm] bandmates are urging singer Caleb Followill to enter rehab which uncovers the real reason behind the tour cancellation, not “exhaustion.”
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, “Caleb’s drinking is out of control and they are trying to get him into rehab. It’s a dark demon he’s been fighting for awhile.”
A second source confirmed the speculation. “They are trying to get Caleb to go to rehab. [That’s why] they ended up canceling the whole tour. He drinks like a fish.”
Brother and bassist Jared Followill understands that their fans are not stupid and hinted at Caleb’s drinking problem for being the reason behind the tour cancellation via Twitter.
Dennis Arfa, an agent for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Billy Joel[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Metallica[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Rod Stewart[/lastfm] said that “exhaustion” is a clear red flag that there are underlying issues at play.
“Well, I mean, it tells me stuff is goin’ on. Something’s not right, obviously. Exhaustion is a label. It doesn’t tell you the detail – just says ‘exhaustion.’ Exhaustion usually means you have issues going on beyond just being physically tired. It’s a convenient label.”
This footage comes from the Dallas concert where Caleb walked off stage to vomit and chug a beer. He never returned.
