The toxicology report has been released… Whitney Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012), beloved by many passed away a few months ago.  Beloved by many, speculation has been lingering over what the cause of death could have been, and finally light has been shed onto the legendary singers passing.

Houston’s death was caused by accidental drowning, cocaine ingestion and heart disease, according to CBS Los Angeles.

Marijuana, anti-anxiety drug Xanax, muscle relaxant Flexeril and over-the-counter allergy medication Benadryl were also found in the singer’s blood, but those substances did not contribute to her death.

No foul play has been suspected. A final report should be revealed in a few weeks.  Houston died the day before the Grammy awards, where she was to attend a lavish party hosted by Clive Davis.  Last year, she underwent outpatient treatment for drug and alcohol treatment.
