Just days after “Boyfriend” was released on iTunes, Justin Bieber fans received a sneak peak to his upcoming music video.

In a 20-second clip Bieber is shown alone at the track’s start before multiple hands cover his body. He provided some insight behind the video in an interview with MTV News. Filmed by director Colin Tilley, Bieber said the video will surprise.

“The concept of this video, I mean it’s not like a steady concept,” Bieber said. “It’s not like ‘Justin follows this girl to this spot.’ No, it’s a bunch of amazing scenes: Like a fire scene, we have an ice scene.”

In addition to shots of him alone, there is a scene with dancers.

“It’s kind of like bouncing back and forth,” he said. “And then there’s scenes of me and just a bunch of girl dancers, and just some great shots, great artistic shots, great shots of me smiling. It’s fun.”

“The video’s really good. Colin has done a great job,” he said. “The lighting has been amazing and everything’s been so unique and I haven’t seen anything like it. So, I think people are going to be really surprised.”

While fans have to wait a little longer to see the video in it’s entirety, Bieber played a few April Fool’s jokes this weekend to keep all entertained.

Definitely a video no one expected, it only seemed fair to prank fans after he got slimed Saturday at Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards. As he accepted the award for Favorite Male Singer, he thanked the fans.

“Right now, I’ve been working really hard on my album, Believe. This album is our album. This [blimp] goes out to all the fans. I love you so much,” he said before being slimed at the show’s close.
