After giving birth to her little girl, Maxwell Drew, in May, Jessica Simpson signed a $4 million dollar deal with Weight Watchers to lose the baby weight. Now the singer is fighting off rumors that the company is bullying her to lose the pounds.

Simpson took to Twitter yesterday to dispel rumors that she’s been feeling stressed and overwhelmed by her workout regimen and strict diet.

The new mom inked a deal that requires her to lose 50 pounds in five months. Even though she’s set a target weight for herself, she says the real goal is to start living a healthier life.

“I just want to feel normal and fixate on inches,” she told People. “I really want to set small goals, so I’m constantly reaching goals and not looking at something so far ahead.”

Since she teamed up with Weight Watchers, the company has shown public support, letting fans know they’re behind the singer one hundred percent.

“Her talent, resilience and positive outlook already make her a great role model,” the company said in a statement. “And by deciding to trade in yo-yo dieting for a healthier lifestyle, we know she will inspire many women to join her.”

And if that wasn’t enough, Jennifer Hudson welcomed Jessica to the Weight Watchers family with a few words of advice in an interview with ABC News.

“Try not to snack with the baby,” she said. “And be active with the baby. Be active with them and you’ll stay in shape. There’s no workout like running around after a 2-year-old.”

The American Idol alum, who had her son, David, in 2009, lost an estimated 80 pounds on the program and has no doubt that Jessica will see the same results.

“I think she will do awesome,” Hudson said. “She’s a pro. She knows what she’s doing, for sure.”
