Hunter Hayes made his first ever trip to the GRAMMYs and he talked about the wild experience backstage with Damon and Gina.
Since he was a little kid growing up in Lafayette, Louisiana, Hunter would play any musical instruments he could get his hands on. “I found my thing really early on,” he said of the beginnings of his exciting new career in music.
And here he is– nominated for Best New Artist and performing during the show itself at this year’s Awards. “This is my first time coming to the GRAMMYs, and what a great way to come,” he said. “To be a part of it and sit here in this room, and look at all these people around me… it’s great.”
Hunter had the chance to check out the GRAMMYs stage for a rehearsal, and he used the chance to take in as much of the experience as he could. But it’s not the first time he hit the Staples Center in LA– he stopped by for a tour date with Carrie Underwood earlier this year. “We did half the tour, now we’re going out for the second half. It’s going to be fun.”
