Ryan Tedder is all over the place… literally! Between producing hits for others and his own band OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder is everywhere… including backstage at the GRAMMYs where he sat down with Damon and Gina for an interview.

Between OneRepublic’s hits and the songs he has produced for fellow artists, it’s hard not to hear a song the musician had a hand in.  Tedder goes through the same thing every day… even when he least expects it.  The strangest place he ever heard his own music?  A bathroom!  “I walked into the bathroom stall, doing what people do in the bathroom stall,” Tedder recalled.  “A guy sits down next to me, and there’s music playing– one of our songs comes on– and he starts whistling along and humming.  I’m thinking, this is really interesting… Who’s going to flush first?”

Justin Timberlake, a close friend of Tedder’s, is currently enjoying success off his latest single Suit & Tie, which Tedder really likes. “I hit my manager, [asking] what if we got an offer from Justin Timberlake?” he pondered.  “It’s within the realm of possibility… musically, they’re pretty different.”

Tedder has nothing but respect for Timberlake, especially the singer/ actor’s ability to stay versatile.  “The Social Network was a breakout role [for him]… He’s one of those dudes that once he decides he’s going to do something, he’ll figure out a way to crack it until it just happens,” Tedder said of Timberlake.  “Certain people can manifest things and he somehow manages to do it.”

Tedder will be taking OneRepublic on a headlining tour this Summer, including a stop at Mohegan Sun here in Connecticut.
