Say “Hello” to Karmin as they sit down with Gina and Damon backstage at the GRAMMYs!
Amy Renee Heidemann and Nick Noonan, better known as the pop duo Karmin, have certainly been around in their rise to fame. Amy and Nick met at Berklee in Boston. The duo has since relocated to Los Angeles, but it leads to some confusion as to where they both say they’re from.
“We recently got a spot here in LA, so now we’re considering ourselves LA people,” said Amy. But Nick was quick to counter “I still consider myself a Bostonian.”
One thing’s for sure, like Damon, Amy definitely came from the midwest. The Seward, Nebraska native has even been immortalized in her hometown. “They put me into a museum called the Homesteader Monument,” she explained. “My ancestors were some of the first people to get farmland there. I nerded out big time.”
But Karmin does more than wax philosophical on where they consider home… they also make music. Keeping it short and sweet, Amy gave the quick update on what their 2014 will look like:
- “I Want It All” is their new single, which comes out Tuesday
- They will be on tour all summer for the Pulses 2014 Tour.
- Their album Pulses hits this spring, so the tour will feature all the new songs!
