The Connecticut RACE IN THE PARK takes place annually each May on the Saturday before Mother’s Day in New Britain’s historic Walnut Hill Park. Each year, thousands gather to participate in race day festivities and events while honoring survivors, remembering loved ones, celebrating life and most importantly, raising much needed funds to advance the fight against breast cancer in Connecticut.
By joining The Race, pledging your support or becoming a valuable sponsor, you help raise awareness and funds to support the fight against breast cancer.

6:30 am: Registration, bib number, T-shirt pickup
7:45-9:00 am:   Survivor Breakfast
8:00 am:
•    Silent Auction/Raffle Tent Open
•    Food Trucks Open
•    Family Activities Open
•    Artisans’ Market Opens
8:30 am:  Kids’ Challenge (1 Mile / age races)
9:00 am:  Survivor Photo
9:15 am:  Female & Male 5K Run*
10:30 am:  1 Mile Walk and 4K Walk*
11:00 am:  Silent Auction/Raffle Tent Closes
1:00 pm:  Last Shuttle

Celebrate Survivors:  Breast Cancer Survivors are honored participants at the CT RACE IN THE PARK. Join us for the RACE Day Survivor Breakfast at 7:45 am to 9:00 am to bond with fellow survivors and talk with the leading experts in breast cancer research.  Again this year! A survivor may bring 1 guest to the breakfast for a fee of $15 (see registration form)  A group photograph of survivors will be taken following the breakfast at 9:00 am.

Activities for the whole family:
•    TOUCH A TRUCK:  This hands on event gets kids up close to their favorite Big Rigs, Fire Engines, Police Cars, Construction and much more! 
Unregistered children for the RACE will be charged one $5.00 donation for Kids' Expo and Home Depot's Build in the Park activities.
•    KIDS’ EXPO:  Games and activities for youth ages 12 and under.
•    HOME DEPOT’S BUILD IN THE PARK:  Children 12 and under build and take home a wooden project.
•    ARTISAN MARKET:  New this year!  Shop and support local farms and artisans offering Connecticut grown and Connecticut handcrafted items from 8:00 am to11:00 am.
•    SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE IN THE PARK:  Bid on great silent auction items and purchase raffle tickets for special prizes. Visit our tent between 8:00 am and 11:00 am Prizes awarded at 11:00 am.
•    FOOD:  Food from food trucks and vendors will be available for purchase beginning at 8:00am.
